Dr. Rheda Gerlock injured while training for Venus de Miles

Rheda Gerlock, OD, was injured recently while training for Venus de Miles – a bicycle ride that is open to women of all ages and abilities.  The ride raises money for Greenhouse Scholars program for high-performing, underfunded college students.One of the scholars is a recent graduate of Overland High School in Aurora – Dr. Gerlock’s daughter attends this high school and Dr. Gerlock spend numerous hours volunteering for various activities and programs at the school.  Go to venusdemiles.com for more specific information on the ride courses, Greenhouse Scholars and how the organizers have committed to make this a zero-waste event by using only recyclable and compostable materials.

Dr. Gerlock is at home recovering and will soon return to patient care at Vision Care Specialists Aurora location. We wish her a speedy recovery!
