Vision Care Specialists provides all of our patients the highest quality eye care, services and products available. We are able to accomplish this through our doctors, staff, technology and products.
Doctors
We have eleven doctors, representing both optometry and ophthalmology, committed to providing you, our patient, with the ultimate in quality care. Whether it is a comprehensive vision examination, a contact lens examination, a detailed medical eye examination, or eye surgery, the care you receive will be second to none.
All of our doctors are trained in the latest treatment options and utilization of the latest in technology. You can be confident the doctor you see is committed to you and your eye health.
Staff
The staff in all of our Vision Care Specialists locations is specifically trained in their areas of expertise. Whether it is our front desk personnel, our opticians or our ophthalmic technicians, you can be assured that each and every one of them is focused on understanding your needs and assisting you in understanding what treatment and or products will fill those needs.
Our staff will assist you in picking out frames and lenses that satisfy you, based on your lifestyle, profession and fashion. If you are a contact lens wearer or would like to be, our contact lens technicians will train you in proper care and use of your lenses. When you leave the office you will be confident in all aspects of your contact lens wear.
Technology
Vision Care Specialists is proud to provide you with the latest in technology in both instrumentation and products. A few examples of the technology you will experience as a patient of VCS:
Optomap Retinal Exam – Provides a 200 degree view of the retina without dilation. This scan gives our doctors the ability to detect such problems as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular hypertension without dilation.
HRT - A system that combines a laser-scanning camera and specialized software that evaluates the optic nerve. The HRT may diagnose glaucoma years before symptoms become apparent to the patient.
Pachymetry – This testing measures the thickness of the cornea, which is critical in evaluating LASIK as an option.
Products
At Vision Care Specialists you will find the latest developments in all products, from contact lenses to ophthalmic lenses to frames to sunglasses. We pride ourselves in evaluating all of the advancements made in ophthalmic products and offering those to our patients based on their needs.
Fashion Eyewear – We carry one of the largest selections of high quality fashion frames in the state of Colorado. We not only have all of the leading designers, but we also carry fashion frames made specifically for different lifestyles and various lens specifications. However, with all of the options the key is skilled and well trained opticians that can evaluate your needs and recommend the appropriate lens and frame that fills those needs.
Contact Lenses – VCS has all options available in soft contact lenses. From the daily wear lens to the two week disposable to the monthly disposable we can provide you with the ideal lens prescribed by your doctor. We also can offer you gas permeable lenses that are advantageous for specific prescriptions and other corneal conditions. If you would like to change the color of your eyes, we have lenses that can do that without compromising the health of your eyes.
Sunglasses – It has been clinically proven that exposure to the sun and the UV rays associated with the sun can cause serious damage to the eye and your vision. To allow you to enjoy yourself in the Colorado outdoors, Vision Care Specialists has a complete selection of prescription and plain sunglasses for you and your family. We have all lenses from polarized to tinted to transitions (lenses that change from light to dark) for your needs.
