Innovative LASIK Technology at Vision Care Specialists Serving the Denver area
LASIK technology has evolved dramatically over the last two decades. To improve the safety, comfort, and efficacy of LASIK treatment, Vision Care Specialists has adopted the most advanced LASIK technology, including Wavefront LASIK and the blade-free Ziemer femtosecond laser. The Allegretto Wave™ Eye-Q Excimer Laser System improves the accuracy of the LASIK procedure by providing precise measurements of the eye and cornea prior to and during the procedure. The Ziemer LDV laser creates a conservative, accurate flap with a laser instead of a metal blade. This technology allows the LASIK surgery to be more comfortable and precise than ever before. If you are interested in learning more about the LASIK technology, contact Vision Care Specialists, with 5 locations conveniently located in the Denver Metro area.
Blade-Free Ziemer LDV Femtosecond LASIK
The advent of Ziemer LDV femtosecond LASIK technology allows the entire LASIK procedure to be blade-free, improving precision and comfort. Ziemer technology cuts through the superficial layer of the cornea, using light pulses to create minute bubbles between this layer and the layer below. This allows the top layer to separate easily from the lower layer, creating the flap that provides access to the deeper layers of the cornea.
The use of Ziemer technology reduces the amount of time it takes to create the corneal flap, is able to treat a larger area of the cornea, is associated with a modest improvement in your nighttime vision, and allows you to recover faster from the LASIK procedure than if a blade was used. This innovative LASIK technology also reduces the incidence of dry eye, a common side effect of the LASIK surgery.
Allegretto Wave™ Eye-Q Excimer Laser System
The Allegretto Wave™ Eye-Q excimer laser system improves the speed and accuracy of the LASIK procedure through the use of Wavefront and PerfectPulse® technologies. Unlike traditional excimer lasers, Wavefront technology was designed to capture the unique curvature of each patient’s cornea, preserving its natural shape instead of creating a flat surface. PerfectPulse® technology uses thin laser pulses to shape the corneal surface of the eye by tracking the movements of the eye during the procedure. With each minute movement, PerfectPulse® technology adjusts to provide accurate laser pulses to the cornea.

As a result, these innovative LASIK technologies provide fast and accurate results with a decreased risk of the side effects associated with traditional LASIK, such as discomfort and dry eye. Most importantly, this LASIK technology improves the quantity and quality of your vision.
