2012 started out with a short and sweet comment card we received from Ruth noting "Kristine Wilson was helpful in picking out a frame." Kristine is an ABO Certified Optician in our Aurora location who is excellent at helping our patients find just the right frame and lens options that fit the needs of the individual she is working with at any given time. Kudos to you Kristine, keep up the good work!

Two new residents to Colorado love Vision Care Specialists!
9/2/2011 (Lakewood office)Again after having moved across the country the need to find a new eye doctor arose. It became an urgent matter once I could no longer read the street signs and exits in my new state. One of my co-workers recommended Dr. Ellen Petrilla at Vision Care Specialists. She was nice and answered all of my questions. Also instead of heading back to work with my eyes dilated and wearing funky shades they provide the option of a high res photo in it's place (extra fee for service). They also have a nice selection of frames. I'm not a contact gal as the thought of putting something in my eye gives me the hebbie jebbies. Also if you recommend future patients they provide you with a $5 Starbucks gift card.- Amy M.

"I recently moved to Denver from California, and so I was on the quest for a new eye doctor. I just visited this office for the first time about 2 weeks ago, and was extremely pleased with the service and care I received. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.
I came in for glasses and an eye exam, and the nurse who did the pre-exam was so sweet and informative, and just awesome. Dr. Glick was also quite friendly and went over all my test results with me, and was more than happy to answer any questions I had.
My optician, Louie, was amazing. I haven't worn glasses in over 10 years, so I definitely needed guidance picking out a pair, especially since I was stuck with coke bottle glasses as a kid. Louie helped me choose a pair that complemented my face shape, and he's awesome at what he does! No need to keep shopping around for me, I've definitely found my new eye doctor!" :) - Sheri G.

"I have been going to see Dr. Warta at the Downtown location for 3 years now. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I've never had a problem getting an appointment at time that works best for me. I have not ordered glasses, but this last time I ordered contacts they were shipped to my house and I received them in under a week. The location couldn't get better for me living and working downtown." - Joy S.

Retinal Tear Found During Exam
“I am so glad that Dr. Taylor found the tear in my Retina. He took the time to look really close and figured it out. I am so thankful! All of the staff is wonderful! And I just want to say thank you for such a great job. Keep it up! Dr. Taylor again thank you for catching and taking the time to look at my Retina and I would strongly tell more people about the test you have (optomap®) you do in the office. I feel very fortunate that you saw the tear. “ - T.S.
Below is the an image and a sample picture of a healthy retina captured by the instrument this patient is referring to. On the advice all our doctors,(optomap®) 200 degree non-dilated Retinal Imaging is strongly recommended at every comprehensive eye exam.

"Great team of people.
The front desk staff is thorough and friendly.
The eye doc that helped me was so knowledgeable and helpful - answering all my questions, taking into consideration my age and history. Introduced me to new contacts and was a joy to visit.
It is conveniently located downtown, walking distance from my house, so another bonus for me personally, but if you are looking for a caring, professional team of eye specialists - check these guys out."
