Dr. Kenneth Phi, O.D., F.A.A.O., is a Colorado native who has a B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Denver. After receiving his doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Dr. Phi pursued residency training at the VA Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center. During this time, he gained exceptional training in managing advanced ocular disease and low vision rehabilitation. The highlight of his residency was being able to teach and train other young doctors. He believes that teaching and learning is a primary purpose of life.
Once Dr. Phi completed his residency, he obtained the prestigious fellowship distinction with the American Academy of Optometry. He continues to practice full-scope medical optometry and takes great pride in working with Vision Care Specialists to managing and treating blinding eye diseases. Dr. Phi cares deeply about educating his patients in the anatomy and physiology of the eye, along with its complexity. He strives to share this knowledge with his patients. Since adolescence, Dr. Phi has been fascinated by the eye and has wanted to become a doctor who can help his patients preserve their vision. He encourages his patients to be a proactive part of the teamwork required in patient-doctor preventative eye care.
Dr. Phi believes in the progression of medical optometry and continually studies the latest research about diseases and treatments. Beyond eye care, he carries his philosophy of continuous-learning throughout all aspects of life. He continues to learn new hobbies and activities to keep his mind sharp and bright. To stay active, he plays golf and tennis. To stay mindful, he practices calligraphy and culinary arts. And to stay humble, he saves time for family and travels.
