Regina Chonka is a Colorado native and grew up in the Morrison area. After graduating from the University of Denver, she attended Pacific University College of Optometry near Portland, Oregon. While at Pacific University, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honorary Society and involved in the school’s chapter of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. Dr. Chonka went on to complete a residency at the Albuquerque Veteran’s Hospital in New Mexico with an emphasis on glaucoma research. She has published numerous posters at the American Academy of Optometry in the field of ocular disease.
Dr Chonka provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages with an emphasis on eye health and wellness. She specializes in contact lens fittings and ocular disease management.
One of Dr. Chonka’s passions is to provide eye care to areas in need. She has gone on several trips to Cambodia, teaming up with a medical group from Singapore that works to set up wellness centers in impoverished areas.
In her free time, Dr. Chonka enjoys skiing, camping, mountain biking, and walking her dog, Belly. She is an avid sports fan and relishes in the opportunity to go to any Denver sports team event.
